In this session from Under The Covers, I had a chance to collaborate with the very talented musician Rico Mahesi. It’s difficult choosing a song to express how we feel, but this cover of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt just feels right.

We originally recorded this together for the Live at The Orchard Album, but we got together again in February because we felt it was right to say what we both feel about all the businesses in Bali shutting down, and all our friends and family that would be out of a job.

Venues are a second home for all musicians, but for many of us the stage at The Orchard is our home, so when it had to close we all felt a huge sense of loss…

So when The Orchard Family started the Bali Musicians Appeal, we have to do something, anything…and what we know best is performing, so we hope you understand that this is how we feel for everyone who lost their job, their income, but not their dignity…
